Brandenburg is home to the four major German research organizations, all named after renowned scientists – Fraunhofer, Helmholtz, Leibniz and Max Planck –, with a total of 19 institutes. In addition, there are various other internationally renowned research institutions such as the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European Jewish Studies and the Einstein Forum in Potsdam or the Sorbian Institute with a branch office in Cottbus. With the development of Lusatia as a research region, this number will continue to grow in the upcoming years.
A large number of these institutes have been organized in the Brandenburg State Association of Non-University Research (LAUF e.V. – Landesvereinigung Außeruniversitärer Forschung Brandenburg) since 1999.
Experience through scientifically based, interdisciplinary, cross-sector treatment and health care concepts. Caring through human warmth and Christian ethics.
